Forage Evolution was founded in November 2024 by researchers at Cornell University in Professor Buz Barstow’s lab. While working to develop sustainable biotechnologies, we created a tool broadly useful in making radical new biology, whether its in sustainable industry, healthcare, or space exploration. We’re still passionate about sustainability, but we want to help you develop your technology, too.

Our platform patent-pending strain of the fastest growing organism known, Vibrio natriegens, is capable of rapid DNA uptake, with efficiencies approaching that of standard chemical E. coli transformation.
